We lost our Skeeter to liver failure. It was a complete shock and he went very quickly. We adopted him from a local rescue where he had been living for a year. His mom passed away when he was 12, so he was our sweet senior baby. We had the honor of loving him for only 1 1/2 years. We are shattered. No more coming home and yelling, “where is my fuzzy tuxie?!” his two feline brothers and canine sister miss him terribly. I know he’s with us in spirit, because his brother Luigi never slept next to me and since Skeeter left us, Luigi cuddles next to me every night and rolls over on his back for tummy scratches, just like Skeeter did. It makes my heart happy and I tell Luigi, I know your brother Skeeter is telling you what to do to make mom happy. Some may think it’s silly, but if it helps me get through, than that’s all that matters. We miss our by and will cherish him always. View

So sorry to hear about Skeeter, Michelle. It is so tough when things happen so fast. Thinking about you!
Sorry for your loss, happy that your other fur baby is there with you helping you cope with this loss and grief. Bless you
I am so sorry, Michelle, and am sending you my deepest sympathy.💔Luigi and the others are mourning alongside you. Luigi sounds like a very sensitive soul. Saying goodbye is the “down side” of loving, and getting through the grief of loss is helped by having others with whom to share it. I say “joy shared is joy doubled, grief shared is grief halved”. You are welcome to bring Luigi and the others to our onlne group meeting Thursday Sep. 21st if you like. Please let us know how you are coming along, Michelle. We’ll be thinking of you. Toni
