Suzanne, I have been thinking about your questions and don’t have solid answers for you but think it might help to ask beforehand what charges there will be for any services rendered.
It sounds as if you need to find a different emergency hospital but it’s possible it would be farther away. Perhaps speaking with your regular vet will give you guidance.

Suzanne, you are a wonderful person and mother to so many who benefit from your relentless care. There is a “cost” of loving that is not monetary – we pay it with the pain of parting. I certainly hope Takoda is free of cancer and that the vitamins are the answer. I am thinking of you and sending you my very best wishes. 😻😻😻 -

How is everyone doing? We’re coming into warmer weather and the chance of storms that can scare pets with thunder and lightning. If you can, during a storm, keep your pets in a quiet place, maybe play some comforting music, speak softly and offer favorite treats. Please share your suggestions for safeguarding pets.

Oh Leslie, what a lot of loss in just a few years💔I am so sorry that after saying goodbye to your boyfriend and Tanner, you had to part from Jake, too. Fifteen and thirteen years are good lifespans for dogs but are absolutely not long enough for us to share our love with them. Forever wouldn’t be long enough and we will love them forever even though we are missing them terribly. You have cared so much for and about them, now it is time to do the same for you. Be kind and gentle to yourself. Share your thoughts and feelings, maybe do some activities you enjoy, and if you can, think of the good times you shared with each, and all, of them.
You are always welcome at our monthly meeting – I think you will find support among kind, understanding friends. Stay in touch with us here, too. I am thinking of you. Toni -

Planting season is here and I remind you to check which plants are non-toxic for pets. Here is a list from ASPCA:

🎉Good news🎉…. Can the medicine be made into a liquid by a “compounding” pharmacy? I had that done and they even made it chicken flavored. It’s much easier for the kitty, and you, to administer.
IF you have the endoscopy, can they do a liver biopsy or node removal at the same time, or would that be too much at once?

Good! Let us know what you know when you know it🙃Ask them about daily probiotics. That has helped my cats. I ust sprinkler a little powder in their food and they don’t seem to notice. Here’s a {{HUG}} for you both. Toni -

Can the cardiologist do the blood work on the 2nd? It sounds as if Kaylanee is doing better and I hope that continues. Can you ask the doctors for help with the insurance company if you get resistance from them? Keep us posted.😻 -

My, Annie is a complicated little girl, isn’t she? If I’m understanding this correctly, if the blood work shows the cause of the diarrhea and it can be treated with antibiotics or some medicine, then we monitor the liver mass. That would be a good outcome. It’s so hard to not know what’s going on, then finding out and determinig what’s best for her. You are a wonderful mother, Berni. Whether you are a first time pet parent or an experienced one, you are welcome to share your questions, comments, insights, stories and photos with our community. By sharing we learn and support one another. For example, did you know a cats’ stomach is the size of a ping-pong ball and doesn’t expand the way a dogs’ stomach does? Cats in the wild eat several small “meals” a day (small rodens or birds) and it is recommended that a domestic cat be fed 3 – 5 small meals throughout the day.
