Sorry that it seems I only post when I have suffered a loss. Thank you, Toni for your kind words, I know I have said no more cats for me, but Little Bit proved me to be lying to myself. While I am not looking for another cat if God wants me to have another one will find me instead just like that sweet little soul did. I would like to think that in his short time on earth that he knew love. I would have eventually brought him in for good and had him neutered and all of his shots. I am a firm believer in spay and neuter, there are far too many babies that are strays or in shelters. I will be spending the Holidays alone with just Tubby and remembering all my babies who has crossed the bridge. I hope everyone have a Blessed Christmas and a Very Happy New Year filled with love.

For several days this happened and I found myslef starting to love this kitten that I started calling Little Bit. Unfortunately I went out one morning an found him to have crossed the rainbow bridge sometime overnight. My heart was shattered again.

Well, the last 2 months have been horrible. I lost Kissinger in September and then in October my precious Thomas (Flip Flop) passed crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I am totally devasted. I loved all of my fur babies and the house just seems so empty although I still have Tubby. She stays in the bedroom most of the time, she has a food and water bowl as well and a litterbox in the bathroom. After having a house full of love bugs it just isn’t the same. I know I gave them a long life filled with lots of love, but it just wasn’t long enough for me, another 20 years would still have not been long enough. I have made arrangements for them to be looked after if something was to happen to me but now it is happening to my babies, and I am not prepared. I still have Salt outside and I love him, but I am not sure how many more goodbyes I can handle. Thanks so much for having a website where there are kind and compassionate people. We are truly broken hearted in Mayberry.

it is with a very heavy heart that I write that my beloved Kissinger has passed away. I knew he didn’t act like he felt good on Wednesday. He always had to be touching me in some way wither it be a paw on me or his head on my knee, but Wednesday he laid his little head in my hand and slept. On Thursday morning he passed away and I am completely lost. He was 15 years old but his passing was so sudden, it has caught me off-guard. He is buried next to where I park my car so that he can still greet me when I come home. I know he is with Bubbles, Baby Blessing, Blackbeard and all the rest of my precious sweet kitties that have gone over the Rainbow Bridge. I still have 3 that I have to keep going on for…. Thomas, Tubby and Salt but it sure is hard.

Thank you, Toni and Suzanne, for your kind words. I am so happy there is a place where I can share my thoughts and grief without judgment. Kissinger, Thomas and Tubby are all doing well as we adjust to life without Bubbles. I know I said no more and so far, I haven’t brought anymore into my home, but I am currently looking after a Mama cat (NEIGHBORS CAT) and her 3 kittens outside. I feed them 3 times a day, they’re eating now and drinking water plus still nursing. They are growing so quickly, and I am looking for them furever homes. If I have no luck, I guess I will have to keep them until a rescue can take them in. I live in the fictional Mayberry, and we have only one rescue and a kill shelter. I will keep them before I would send for Animal Control, they only keep them for 72 hours. They are so adorable; one is black and the other two are gray like they’re mom. Salt the dad was a cat that another neighbor had, and they moved and left him. He was just a kitten when they…

Glenda posted an update It\'s been a while since I have been here, but I always read the newsletter you send. Yesterday my beloved Bubbles passed away. After 17 years of being together, I am lost. She never acted sick or like she was in pain. She was always running from one end of the house to another, jumping up the air and turning around. I always said she acted more like a kitten than a17 year cat. She loved to eat...pickles, onions, tomatoes plus her regular cat food. My cats have never tried to steal food from me but if something fell in the floor Bubbles would have it eaten before it hit. It will take a while before I get used to her not being here. She was always waiting for me when I opened the door and would look at me lovingly when I kissed her bye on the way out. I am deeply heartbroken.

Thanks so much for your kind words and the Hug, sure can use both. Sorry it’s been so long since I responded. I am adjusting to Bubbles not being here as is Kissinger. He never leaves my side and if Thomas should lay down next to me Kissinger crawls on top of him, so he can be touching me. Tubby isn’t close to anyone, she is very independent and prefers to stay to herself, though she loves to be snuggled, it’s when she wants to. I have been feeding a neighbor’s cat since they quit feeding it, it will not let me touch it and it runs until I have gotten back inside. Well, the other day I went out for the morning feeding and to my surprise, there was 3 kittens. I was excited and upset at the same time. I picked up one of them and it bit me, they have razor sharp little teeth so now I know I have 3 more mouths to feed, until I can find them a good home. They are adorable and I can remember a time when I would have said they had found their furever home but not now. I live in a small town, and we have one rescue, and they are full and not accepting anymore cats so that is not an option. Hopefully I will be able to post this without using any words deemed inappropriate this time. Wish me luck in finding the new babies a home and I will keep you posted. Thanks again for providing such a wonder site that lets people share their love of animals. They are family too. Always, Glenda

Yes, I have 3 more cats, Kissinger, Thomas and Tubby. Kissinger is 14, Thomas 11 and Tubby is 9. Kissinger and Bubbles were very close, and he still acts like he is looking for her, they have been a major comfort to me. Thomas has taken up door duty, he is always waiting when I open the door now and we are trying to adjust, it is extremely hard to do after so many years. I have said that after they are gone, I don’t want any more but can’t imagine life without a cat, it would be very lonely with a fur baby. Just after losing so many, I just don’t know if I can or want to go through this loss anymore. It is a shame that we only have so long with them, but at the same time I worry what would happen to them should something happen to me. I have always loved all animals but especially cats, I have always had a cat in my life and the oldest one was a solid white cat named Lucky she lived to be 21 years old and at one time I had as many as 15 so I have gone through a lot of hurt, but it is something you never get used too. So sorry for your loss and I hope your surgery was a success. and you have recovered. Please take care of yourself and stay safe. Thank you again for your kind words of comfort and providing a site where everyone can post their love for their fur babies. Always, Glenda

Merry Christmas Everyone. It’s been a while since I have posted anything. I’m an animal lover, from dogs, cats, rabbits to elephants. I love them all!! But I tend to love cats the most, at one time having as many as 15. They have all been loved and spoiled rotten and lived a good life. So many of them have gone over the Rainbow Bridge that I only have 4 left. My Beloved Possum passed away the other day after being a faithful friend and companion for 14 years. I started missing her before she took her last breath. She will always have a special place in my heart and my mind. I love you. Rest Easy my Friend.

I guess you can say we find each other. I have alwaysloved all animals but I tend to love cats more. I have no children so they are my babies instead. I have had my heart broken so many times with them passing away and I always say no more but then I always seem to come across one who needs me but the truth is I need them just as much as they need me. I am so thankful that I found this website, Thank you for your kind words.
