Went to the grocery store today. While shopping I came across the doggie toys. There in the box of squeaky toys was a grinch squeaky. Our dear Ava loved squeaky toys. So I grabbed the grinch squeaky toy, brought it home and put it on the memorial shelf. Am I wrong for doing it I miss her so much. I cleared off my whole computer desk, to make room for memorial items for her. View

💔My grandma used to say “people are blessed, who pass in their sleep” and darned if that isn’t what she did. I find some comfort in that, and maybe you can, too, knowing Lil’ Sarge went peacefully rather than suffering. But, the pain of parting is deep and we are here with you as you move through yours.

Oh my, that was shocking for you, and I am so sorry. Jesssica, What a lot of love and care you gave Bella. That is the best, and most, we can do for our sweet babies. They are only with us a short while (forever wouldn’t be long enough), but their love is with us the rest of our lives. As you go back through the 14 1/2 years you were lucky to share with Bella, the first 14 were spectacular. I hope you can bring forth memories of times from those years that bring you joy, and that those memories help ease your grief. We are here to listen, and you are welcome to share. Our group meeting is January 20th and I hope you will join us to talk about Bella.

Jackie, your pain is deep, as is the love you will always have for sweet Daisy. 💔Perhaps you can think back to better days of fun and love, and be reminded of why you opened your heart to Daisy. I undertsand that can be hard at this time, but even one memory that makes you laugh or smile is a way to send Daisy your love, and hopefully ease your grief just a bit. Hugging a toy or blanket she liked may bring you some comfort. Talking about your lives together here in our community can help, too. We are here for you with deep sympathy and understanding. Toni -

Maureen, you may ALWAYS light another candle for your baby. With the sadness, can you pull forth a good memory to remind you of the many reasons you opened your home, and heart, even though you knew one day you would have to part? I hope you can, and that you find some comfort knowing that you gave your sweetheart the best life. Dovie, Jake was so adorable and I am so very sad and sorry that you had to say goodbye to your dearest friend💔It IS heartbreaking to part, even though in our heads we know our pets are only “on loan” to us (never for long enough -forever wouldn’t be long enough). What a great life of love and fun you shared with Jake, saving him as a rescue. He could have had a very different life without you and your care. Dovie, may I encourage you to think of the many times you and Jake enjoyed? I hope you find some comfort in your memories. If he could write you a note, what do you think he would want you to know? 💔Cathy, anniversaries, especially the first, bring up strong emotions, both heartbroken, and happy. I hope that you can bring forth memories of the better imes you shared with darling Lilly. Shelley, Yes, cancer sucks. I am so very sorry your beloved Archie had to experience that, especially at such a young age. (There is no good age for cancer).💔When did you say goodbye? How long were you together? How did you meet? How did Archie make your life better? Are you happy for the time you shared with Archie even though you said goodbye too soon? I hope so. We never have enough time together, forever wouldn’t be enough time, and I I hope you find comfort and peace knowing that Archie had the best life he could with you. Lisa, yes, the pain is almost unbearable, until you remember the many loving, fun and funny times you and Cosita shared, and why you opened your home and heart to Cosita – to give her a wonderful life filled with love and care. We wish they could be with us forever, but our beloved pets are only “on loan” to us and all we can do is make the most of every moment together. Oh Diane💔The pain you are feeling is deep and I am so very sorry. Do you have someone with you? Do you have a toy with which you can cuddle? I found a stuffed toy to hold helped me. This is the hard part of loving – saying goodbye. Can you try to recall some of the fun, funny and loving times you and Smokey were lucky to share? Please tell us more about Smokey and the times you spent together. I think it helps to talk about the many wonderful moments that enriched your life by having Smokey in it.
