I lost .y 16 yr kitty, Ben last week. This is the 5th cat I’ve lost to kidney disease. I’m heartbroken.

I am so sorry for your loss! I know how you feel, as I’ve lost six pets throughout the years! My beloved dog, Hope, passed away unexpectantly this past March from heart and breathing issues! Our pets are family, and we grieve the same way as if a parent or relative passes away!

Oh Deb, I am so, so sorry. When you feel up to it, will you share some insights about symptoms of kidney disease (if there are any)? My 17 year old has compromised kidney functions we are treating with special food, saline infusions and acupuncture. Her numbers have improved over the past three months but are not normal. She is walking a bit unsteadily and I wonder if that is symptomatic? And Deb, please know we are here to share your pain, and help support you in any ways we can. Do let us know how you are, and if you have stories and pictures of Ben we can share, that would be lovely. I am sending you a big HUG. Toni
