That calico is the foster. I call her Trixie which means brings happiness. The vet says the ulcer is getting smaller. I have been medicating her everyday since she came to me. If the eye had been treated when it first happened probably would have been healed but will take longer since the person she came from did nothing it is just going to take longer. We are hoping she will get some vision back in the eye.
Sending a pic of my Sheba taken a few days before she left me.
    • 1. Sheba was absolutely gorgeous! Was she a big cat? I’ve forgotten – how old was she?
      2. Love the name, and meaning of it – Trixie :-). No question the universal energies bring us together. You are a star for caring for her, and I agree with Tay, you’ll probably have her as another love in your life and home. My girl went blind (and deaf) the last year of her life and it was amazing how purrrfectly she got around. So even if Trixie has vision in one eye, she’ll do well. Just don’t let her outside alone because she won’t have peripheral vision.
Cathy, it’s great to have your updates and you know we are here to both remember Sheba and help support you, and celebrate your other faithful friends with you. Keep us posted. Cheers, Trixie ๐Ÿ™‚
      • Sheba was 4 years old and was a big cat. She was so very sweet.
Trixie. Like all my cats. Will be inside kitty only. Too many dangers for them outside.
I do feed one outside feral cat. I had her fixed a couple of years ago. She is like the pit bull of cat world – chases all the other cats out of my yard. Think she is my outside protector. She brings me dead mice and lizards.
Thanks for caring and helping through the tough times.
Will keep you posted on Trixie’s eye.
        • It’s always sad and hard to say goodbye, especially when they are so young. They truly are only “on loan” to us. Cathy, you really are kind and generous to care for so many, especially your little “mouser” friend :-). Those are gifts of gratitude and love she brings you, and well deserved. Yes, please do update us. I am delighted to have you in our community. Toni
