she was a rescue yorkie from a puppy mill she was so sweet she always loved to snuggle

Do you have pictures of Maggie? I hope we can shutter all puppy mills.

Thank you. I lost my dog Raz on September 22, I miss him so much. And with the holidays coming, it’s worse. But he will always be my angel. My brother passed in 1999, and i didn’t get to say goodbye. In 2011, I’d had it. I packed up everything and left the house, ready to end it all. Suddenly here comes this little dog. Scared, hungry, and cold. So I took him home. Found the owner, who didn’t want him, so I kept him.

And then… tell us about Raz and your lives together for nine years. That’s the tough part – they are only on loan to us even though we want them forever…

@cdegroat I am sorry about Sir Peter McKnight and Boonie. I hope you are doing okay. Their names are so interesting, can you tell us about them?

Hi! Sir Peter McKnight was a Jack Russell. He was the greatest dog ever. I named him Petey, I kind of added the Sir because he was purebred and McKnight because he was supposed to be regal. Petey was nothing royal or noble, he was a Jack Russell in every way. We had him for 16 years, he got cancer and passed away. Bonnie was actually named Junior from that he became Junie boonie, he was a black Lab. He was a good dog, put up with triplets rolling over him and then another little one. I miss them both very much.

Cheryl, What a charming story. You are an excellent writer and I hope you will stay involved with our community. Perhaps you can lend sympathy to other members, or share stories to celebrate your pets who are still with you. We are growing rapidly and working hard to expand the services we provide. Oh, what a great looking girl!. I know what you mean-one of my cats would sit at the refrigerator and say “Meowilk” when she wanted milk. I’m SO sorry she is away now, but know she’s never gone from your heart and memories. Thank you for the adorable photo. I’ll try to send some of mine. -
