Kim. Yes, I understand more than completely – that’s why we are here. Since you carry her with you, would you find a Memory Vessel meaningful? It’s a piece of jewelry that has two compartments for cremated remains, fur, whatever physical memento that is important to you, along with a USB flash drive to store your photos and videos. Or, the beautiful, handmade and exquisite “Forever in Glass” pieces that Henry Duquette makes that incorporate cremated remains in pieces of hand blown glass? I’m not trying to “sell” you anything. But I know these are treasured keepsakes. I have them for my departed loved ones (including my mother and my cat, Squirt). You can find them on our site, or I can introduce you to the providers if you like. We just want to help. -

Oh boy…I know. Of course he was not “just a cat”. My sweetheart is a part of daily talks and events, sleeps with her fanny in my face, knows exactly what we’re talking about, and pretty much rules the house. My last cat, Squirt, actually spoke a little English. They are WAY more than cats, or dogs, or anything – they are living, energetic beings with whom we connect, relate, and love. I get it. -

My son’s were younger named her that.

Cute – why that? How are you, and they, doing? Did they grow up with her? What kind of pet was she -feline, canine, gorilla? No…not to make light of this, but I would love to see some pictures of Amy. Is there any way in which we can be supportive and helpful?

Shania was a redbone/black lab dog. We adopted her before she was weaned since her mom ran away. We were blessed with her presence for 10.5 years. She was our baby. We adopted an adult rescue dog, Morgan from the Humane Society after a period of mourning Shania. We truly missed walking a dog and the companionship. She does not replace her but we rescued another fur baby. There are gifts from God.

Yes, they are gifts on loan to us. Adopting, especially a mature pet, is so kind and generous. Good for you. We want to also celebrate our pets who are still with us. You are welcome to post pictures, videos and stories here.
