Debra, how touching. I’m teary reading about Star Lynn. She is beautiful. Intellectually, you know you did everything for her, but emotionally it is so hard. I hope your good memories outweigh the sadness. They are with us forever in our hearts. -

Cynthia, the pain subsides when it does…when my nine month old kitten, who never went out, decided to go out and was killed by a vehicle, the guilt I felt kept me from healing for a very long time. But, and I mean this, you and I didn’t do anything wrong. It’s hard to express, but it’s as if they made a decision and it went way wrong, but you and I didn’t do it to them. We would have thrown ourselves in front of the truck if we had the choice. We have a wonderful grief counselor available to you if that will help you. Please, let me know how we can support you, and if you want to speak with our counselor. I’m sending you a big hug. Toni -

Of course you are depressed, sad, heartsick…not regretful nor guilty…but how can we not be saddened? If you think it would help, we have a wonderful grief counselor available who really understands. Let me know. -

If you need pet services in your area, the “Find Services” tab is a very helpful tool. There is a drop-down menu with a great list of services, and you just enter your zip code to find providers near you.

That’s cute. Mine was named “Deanna” when I brought her home to care for her (then adopted her), and I never call her that – don’t want her remembering her previous life, I guess. -

Yes, they are gifts on loan to us. Adopting, especially a mature pet, is so kind and generous. Good for you. We want to also celebrate our pets who are still with us. You are welcome to post pictures, videos and stories here. -

Cute – why that? How are you, and they, doing? Did they grow up with her? What kind of pet was she -feline, canine, gorilla? No…not to make light of this, but I would love to see some pictures of Amy. Is there any way in which we can be supportive and helpful? -

Kim, Do you know how kind, generous and loving you are to have put Deeva above yourself? The most loving we can be is to do what’s best for them. My sister did the same kindness for her dog, I did it for my darling Squirt..and Tiger … and Cricket.. and Prince …they were all suffering and older. After any amount of time, it hurts. But, I think we, and they, know everything we do is in their best interest and for their best concerns.
