I’m guessing Blackie is the cat? My old girl looks just like that. Did they live together or were they with you at different times? They’re awfully cute and I know you miss them a lot. But they look very happy and much loved.-
Yes, I has Blackie until he crossed The Rainbow Bridge in January and Biscuit Crossed it in July .

Crystal, time is not the determinant of healing. Hopefully your sadness is much less than your joyful memories. Little things bring up big memories, like the pet food aisle when you see their favorite food…. What you experienced with Tick is extreme. You are doing well to share and let your feelings out. What would help you? Sharing Tick’s pictures? I’d love to see…. -

Crystal, is your dog adopted? Perhaps it suffered a trauma that still upsets it. I am very friendly with a delightful Westie who must have had her tail run over by a vehicle because she goes nuts when a vehicle goes by. We have some veterinary professionals in our community who may be able to answer your concern. Let’s see if we can get some people to respond. Also, you can search and find resources in our “Find Services” tab. The drop-down menu lists different services and if you put in your zip code you can find them in your area. I’m hoping some of our members have ideas for you. -

Rene – I just saw your post and picture of Peanut. He is beautiful. I am truly so. so sorry for your loss. I don’t think time is the measure of grieving. And I know there are moments when the good memories outweigh the bad, but the hole in your heart lasts a long time, especially when they are such dear friends. I have to remind myself they are gifts on loan to us, but that sounds better on paper than it feels in reality, doesn’t it? What can we do for you? Here is a HUG…Toni -

It would be so kind and important and very much appreciated. ToniSunny my parakeet just passed away and his mate sunshine keeps calling for him and I don’t know what to do, I want to get her a new mate but I don’t know if that would upset her more or if she would accept him or not. Any advice will help.this is sunshine.
