I am excited, pleased and proud to introduce our first “Paw’d Cast”. Yep, that’s me, Toni, and our stalwart Faithful Friend Ed Bazel who is hosting on behalf of The River of Calm. Access with the link below, and let us know topics of interest you would like us to address in the future.

Elizabeth, they are gorgeous. I watched All Creatures Great and Small on PBS last night and they look like the cats in the episode. Do you have, or will you again have pets? It can take some time to welcome new loves into our hearts and homes. I’ll look forward to hearing more from you, and how you are doing. Toni

I can see why – they are so cute. They get along, I’m sure. Play together and stuff?

Dear Cindy, I am sorry for your loss of Bear. What happened that he left so young? What are you doing to help yourself get through this sadness? We’re here to support you.
            • Well, I had gone to a friends house in Sahurita, like I always do with Bear and they have 10 acre. Well Bear ran off like he does sometimes, but he always comes back. This time he didn’t and some people that hate us and do drugs ran him over. A poor innocent dog that can’t defend himself. (Their’s more to the story about those bad people but it’s hard for me to talk about it because of Bear. I miss him so much.

Diane, as you said to Jayne, they know when we are suffering, whether physically or emotionally. I’m glad you have them to support you. They probably miss Squirt, too, and are lucky to have you there to support them, too. Here’s a HUG for you all……
                      • Thank you so much and thanks for everyone in this group for all the support we can to one another for our loss of our fur babies.

Oh Jayne…Diane is right-animals DO sense our ailments and disease. They save us in so many ways. Mimi was very sensitive and she surely knew how very much you loved, treasured, her. I think animals have a sense of their own imminent deaths and don’t view it as anything to be feared or saddened by – just another phase of life. We, of course, are devastated by their passing and our loss of their companionship and love. I hope you let us know how you are doing with your healing from both Mimi’s passing, and your own issue. I am here for you, too.

Geez, that’s horrible. You must have been shocked. I had a nine month old kitten struck by a car and know how sad and angry it can feel. Unfortunately, procedures with anesthesia can be risky for pets (and people) but it’s very caring of you to maintain LC’s dental health with a cleaning. I’m heartbroken for you and hope you stay in touch and let us know how you are feeling, and if we can lend you a shoulder – that’s what we’re here for.

                            Oh no…what happened?
                              • LC died during a tooth treatment and Sam was ran over in front of our house a speeding car.
