Oh Tony, I am so sorry. Rosco sure was a cutie. How old was he? Anniversaries are tough – they bring up all kinds of memories and strong feelings. Hey Cathy – so many cats, so little time …. it’s understandable you got confused :-). I am sorry you haven’t had good vet experiences. Mine have been wonderful. Indoor cats can get rabies if a bat or squirrel or someone similar gets into your home, but you are covered for awhile now. Many cats do prefer being the sole “Ruler” of the house (that’s what they are, we all know) and it’s good to hear you are both doing better. HOT!!…yes, and I am distressed when I see people walking pets on hot pavement. It can burn and blister their little pads so it’s good to stay inside. Keep us posted on how things are going with you, and stay cool…. -

Thank you to those who joined our group meeting this week. It was nice to see and hear from you. I hope you got as much as I did from the time. One thing I learned is how kind and caring our community is, and how much knowledge there is to be shared. I will always miss every pet I’ve been privileged to love. Funny, I don’t seem to miss that many people who’ve come and gone, but I will always carry wonderful memories of my beloved faithful friends. I hope your thoughts of Snowball warm you and lift your spirits. There will always be something that brings a tear, but eventually smiles will replace those. If you’d like, please share some photos that make you happy. -

We’ve missed you and Dixie, Chuck. Is Dixie still with you? Oh my dawg….Asia is too cute. Is she a baby? How big (small) is she? Can’t wait to see their summer nail polish choices :-). Chris, your posts are charming and touching. Thank you for caring and sharing. I am so very sorry for your parting from Baxterboo. It hurts deep within and it takes time to find smiles before your tears. I said goodbye to my Beauty Girl in February and, even though she was truly ready to go, and it hurts at a cellular level, I am able now to recall fun and funny and sweet memories without collapsing in grief. I hope you find that soon, but it hasn’t been very long for you. Do you have other pets with you? I took care of a friends’ cat and that really helped. @yvonne Oh, Yvonne, I am so, so sorry. I know what you mean – when my Beauty Girl left, a huge part of me went with her. But, a bigger part of her still lives within me: the fun and funny times, the sweet loving we shared….just so many kind and wonderful parts that made my life more complete. I hope you will find comfort in your memories of the times you and Bubba shared, but I know it takes time and that the grief comes from very deep within- a cellular pain, not something we can describe, but certainly feel. It hurts. Bad…. I am, again, so very sad and sorry, and I hope you will share more pictures of handsome Bubba, and stories of your lives together, and will let us know how you are coming along. Here is my {HUG}} for you ….. with my most sincere sympathy. Toni
