Lorraine, what a lovely, loving sentiment. Thank you for sharing this with us, and your thoughts of the good times you shared. This picture makes me a bit teary because my Beauty Girl was black too, and this is my first holiday without her. But, I am so grateful to have had her in my life, it’s hard to feel anything but happy for our time together, which is what I think you are feeling, too. Oh Darcee, she was so beautiful. I know it is lonesome and there is a hole in your heart, and home without her. This is my first year without my Beauty Girl. (You can see he memorial here: https://www.faithfulfriends.com/memorials/beauty-girl/

Amanda, this has been a tough year and I am so sad for you and your losses. It seems as if there has been a dark cloud this year and I hope it clears for 2023. What do you think – will you be able or ready to open yourself to more new loves, or will you take some time? It’s different for each of us and there is no right answer. I’m taking a “paws” for awhile after saying goodbye this year, and know many others are, too. Some are welcoming new faithful friends, some of us are waiting a bit.
