I am so sorry, Kelli. Eighteen years is a long time to share the love and joys you did. We wish they could be with us forever. What a face little Yoda had! Hi Selma, I am very sorry. How long has it been? The pain of losing a beloved pet is one of the deepest we experience. I found holding and sleeping with a stuffed toy helped, some hold pillows – something to literally hold on to. You may find writing notes to Sissy Girl, and writing FROM Sissy Girl to you, helps to recall all the wonderful times you shared. Our pets are only “on loan” to us, never for long enough, and it’s helpful to remember the many fun, funny and loving times we got to spend together. We are here for you, Selma, and you are welcome to share more about Sissy Girl. Also, if you can join our group meeting Thursday Sep. 21st at 7 Eastern (4 Pacific) you will meet understanding, sympathetic people. We’ll be thinking of you. {{HUGS}} Toni

It is good of you to think about this. I encourage people to have 2 – 3 trusted homes who will take in your pets, and you will want to leave them money to pay for their care. I see so many names and candles, and am so sincerely sorry for the partings from our dearly beloved pets. Please, after you light a candle, let us “meet” your baby/ies and tell us more. We are all animal lovers, have all said goodbye, and are here to share our support and understanding. And, we are here to help remember the joys and love we’ve shared. Don’t forget that! 💔💕
