Cheistina, how are your migraines? Does the Botox help? My aunt gets shots every three months, too, and finds reief. Is your back better? Sadness and grief take a lot out of us and can contribute to physical pains. Conversely, joy and happiness can increase our energy and help us heal. Are you still writing notes to June? Have you noticed your messages are getting a bit happier with your memories? Have you tried writing what June would want to say to you? I bet she’d be all happy and grateful for your love and care, and would want you to be happy for having her in your life. @emsgran Moose! What a descriptive name. Will you tell us what kind of pet Moose was, Wendy? I’m guessing either really big, or teeny. I am so sorry for your loss and wonder how you are, Wendy. Saying goodbye to a beloved pet brings a grief unlike any other, and we are here to support you. Toni

Moose he was a Berenese Mountain Dog which is a large breed. He was my fur Grandson but I adored him as much as his human family. He passed away about a week ago. I will definitely miss this sweet and good natured boy.

Tami, this is a gorgeous likeness of beautiful Isis. I hope you continue to draw and write, and if you like, you can have your image of Isis put on canvas, or clothing, in our Shop. I have both with my Beauty Girl and love having her picture with me on the front and back of the sweatshirt. Since you like to write, may I suggest you write TO Isis telling her everything you want her to know, and if you can, write FROM Isis to you with what you think she would want you to know. This can help make clear the absolute joys you shared, and how much you appreciated your lives together. We want our pets to be with us forever, and in our hearts and memories, they are. But since they are only “on loan” to us, we have to let them go one day. I hope you can find smiles before tears with your memories of Isis💔Toni -

Chuck!! How delightful to hear from you and Dixie!🎉 What color are her nails now? 🤗When did you get little Asia? They look like they get along well. You may recall that, after my beloved BG passed, Boots came into my life and, as you say, didn’t “replace” her but certainly helped me through the terrible grief. It’s a good reminder that when one leaf has fallen from the tree, another will bloom. I hope you’ll tell us more about your two little hooligans, and stay in touch. 💕Toni -

Ah yes, birthdays and holidays are extremely hard, but also give us a reminder of the good times, do you think? I have pictures of my beloved babies on holidays that bring me great joy, too. I’ll share with you that, last night, I was thinking of good times with my girl Squirt, who was 19 when she died, over twenty years ago, and I cried. That totally surprised me, and made me feel good and bad at once – bad that she was gone (gee, for such a long time), and good and grateful for the times we shared. Treasure the tears and smiles, Crystal. It’s what loving is all about💔 -

Crystal, I am so very sorry. We know, in our heads, that our pets are only “on loan” to us, and that one day we will have to part, but our hearts simply shatter when that happens. It is painful in a way that nothing else is and it takes time and support to find smiles before tears with our memories. I hope you bring forth memories of happy and fun times with Cody, and that helps you move through your loss. We’d love to hear more about Cody, and know how you are coming along. {{HUGS}} Toni -

Kim, this is the hard and sad part of sharing our lives with pets who are so sweet and loving – saying goodbye. May I ask you, would you have given up all those moments with Jasper and Gizzy? I suspect not. Can you be kind to yourself in knowing that you loved them and gave them their best lives? Isn’t that the commitment we make going into a loving relationship with our darlings? Yes, it hurts like nothing else to say goodbye. That’s why we are here for, and with you – because we understand and care. So, if you can, when you are ready, please bring forth the fun and funny memories of Jasper and Gizzy. Maybe write them each a note telling them how much grateful you are to have had them in your life. And, imagine what they each would want you to know about the wonderful life they shared with you. What a touching tribute you have written to Odie, Janet. I am really sorry for the reason Odie passed. Did he have an underlying condition for which the doc was treating? I found sleeping with a stuffed toy helped me through the nights. In addition to singing to Odie, can you write notes to him telling him your feelings?
