Leslie, Christina, I am so glad you are supporting each other as you mourn Tanner and June. That’s what our community is all about – sharing. Grief is not linear: it flows up, down, in and out. Some things trigger fun, funny and fabulous memories of the lives we were so fortunate to share, and sometimes a glance down the pet food aisle will bring you to tears. It is all part of loving, and losing. The deeper the love, the stronger the joy, and grief. Please try to bring forth the happy times, and allow yourselves to feel and embrace the sorrow. Joyce, I am so sorry for your parting from Cocoa.💔 What a little doll. Our pets are only on loan to us, never for long enough (forever wouldn’t be long enough), but you and Cocoa enjoyed a long life of love and joy, and I know you treasure that. You’re right – the pain of parting is deep, just as is the love. I hope you can think of the many fun, funny and loving times you shared and that you find comfort knowing Cocoa had his best life with you. One way to help ease our pain is to help someone else through theirs. We saw this at last nights’ group meeting and I am grateful to everyone who shared their support for one of our members who said goodbye to her second beloved baby yesterday morning💔No matter how long it has been since you parted, you are welcome to join our monthly meetings, and our Community is always here for you. Chin up, Ann. Cassie is fortunate to hzve you caring for and about her, and taking her in for an examination so promptly. Let’s hope it is a benign tumor. If not, at her young age she would probably do beautifully with a surgery or treatments. Let us know when you get the biopsy results and we’ll go from there. When is her biopsy scheduled?
