Connie, as time passes, are you finding you smile with memories? I know it still hurts. But are also having some good moments thinking of BabyDog?

Stacey, I can’t seem to make out what I am seeing in the picture….

Christine, this is so nice in so many ways: 1. He found you 2. You found him -good for your co-worker to show him to you 3. Good he didn’t get sick from the oil. Anti-freeze can be deadly, too (we have an article about poisons in our Library).4. Good for your boyfriend-Keep him, too! 5. Good for getting him on the right medications (Mine is on a number of things and we tried a liquid antibiotic and it was awful-she literally foamed at the mouth, so we went to what they call “tiny tabs” that are specially compounded and mailed to us). 6. Good for your other kitties to embrace him. Overall, Good for you all to be part of a loving family. The parting is hard, but the lives lived were not to be missed. We love stories and they can’t be too long. Keep sharing them. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh Kim… How sweet is this picture? I can feel his paw – my old girl sleeps with her backside tucked under my chin. ( I think she’s trying to ‘snufficat’ me)…It doesn’t matter how long they’ve been gone, we still love them, think of them, treasure and will always have them with us…right? I adore this picture, and am so glad you shared it with us. Please be a part of our caring community.

@leppgirl34 Trudy, I am very sorry for your losses of Tuffy and Spooky. What type of pets were they? How long has it been? Are you doing okay?

                  • Hi Toni. Thank you so much for reaching out. I have actually lost three pets in the last 6 weeks or so. Fairy and Tuffy were my dogs and Spooky was my cat. Iโ€™m doing okay. I get teary eyed a lot when I think of them. Tuffy was my special boy and constant companion. I miss them all but him in a more special way.
                      • I’m so very sorry that you have lost three pets. You have my deepest sympathies. I feel so badly for you. I hope you will be OK. I know it’s heart breaking.
I wish I could say something to you to ease your pain. Just remember they love you as you do them. They are grateful you gave them a good life. I believe there is a heaven and they are there. And their spirits will be around you when you miss them the most, to comfort you.

Connie, so sorry….Do you have pictures or stories you would like to share with us? Thinking of you with sympathy and good wishes.
                        • I cannot access my pictures. I had my BabyDog for 13 1/2 years. She was the sweetest, most calm and beautiful Pomeranian. I carried her in a basket with handles everywhere I possibly could. She was the best dog I ever met.

Carolyn, What a fabulous face Panther had. The markings, and the eyes – and what a lovely long life you shared together. It’s so hard to lose them and we never forget them, but how nice for you both to have had the time you did. Thank you for sharing this. If you want to lend support to others here, please do – it means so much to know we’re not alone in our grieving, and our celebrations. Toni

Chelsea, Is this photo made to look like Domino is glowing? He does – he looks like beautiful light is surrounding him. What a sweet face. I suspect you are in pain still, since it has been such a short while. How are you coming along? What can we do to help you ? Thank you so much for sharing Domino with us. Toni

Tiny, I love that you named your cat Kitty. I call my cat “Cat”. I think we should adopt a dog and name it Kitty so when we call “Kitty”, a dog comes! And Chanel – what a classy name. Will you show us some pictures and tell us about them, please? How long have they been gone? How are you doing – okay?

Christine, I had a Russian Blue – I named her Chivo. She literally walked in the front door. I picked her up and it felt like she was pregnant so I took her to a doctor and he said she was due within a week. I stayed home from work all week, waiting. And waiting….She didn’t get ant bigger, and no kittens came, so I took her to another vet and they said she HAD been pregnant. She was a mean cat – would attack me, was actually kind of scary, until we brought home a kitten in need. Well, Chivo took that little kitten to her, cradled and loved her, and became her mother. From that moment, Chivo was a sweet, loving cat. She just needed her babies. Sorry to ramble, but you brought up those memories and I think it’s good for all of us in our community to share our stories.
How long have you and Dukie been parted? How did you meet?
                                      • Toni, thats a touching story im glad she ended up becoming nice. Its amazing what little kittens can do. Dukie passed away 9 months ago he had asthma. How did we met! Well..this might be long. I was working at a gas station and i came into work at 6 am and then around 8 am one of my co workers came to me and wanted me to come see something so he takes me outside and low and behold there is a little kitten about 2 months old sitting in the corner on a piece of ice mind you i live in ohio and it was winter and it was about 2 degrees outside when i saw him i could not let him stay there so my coworker got me a box i picked him up and he let me pick him up poor thing was probably so cold my boss let me take him home good thing i didn’t live far when i got home with him since i had 2 other cats at that time i told my boyfriend that i couldnt leave him in the cold and i would take him to the humane society the next day he stayed in the back room for two days probably thawing out…
