Oh, Susan… you are so kind to think of others who are also grieving. I think one of these days you will have smiles of memories before tears. Angel and the others would want you to be happy for your times together, wouldn’t they? -

Sandra, today is a sad reminder for you and we understand how that brings the pain again. When you feel like it, please tell us about Mindy. And do let us know how you are coming along.-
I’m still missing her so much it hurts so bad I cry I had her cremated so I would have a little of her with me Mindy was an angel sent from God to save me I was so depressed and didn’t want to live anymore and there she came one night on a rainy night she came running in the park and I went out there and called her to come with me and she already new where to go she ran up on my porch before I got there she was 5 years old then she was 18 years old when I lost her

Oh what a story, Sandra. I agree – they seem to know where they need to be and will be welcome. I have had four cats walk up to my door over the years. Literally as if they knew to be there with, and for, me. We must send out energetic vibes that they pick up, or something. Sandra, your tears are a good way to cleanse the grief and one day your smiles will come before the tears, and then replace them. Please , let is know how you are coming along, and if you want, let others in our community know how you understand their pain. Do be in touch. Toni-
Oh, you may want to look at our Memory Vessels or “Forever in Glass” pieces for the cremated remains – they are really special and meaningful unique ways to carry your memories with you. Toni

How are you now, Judith? Poor little Bella. You gave her the most selfless gift of release and relief. I am sure you are exhausted and crying and wandering around looking at her things…and it’s just so hard. Please let us know how you are coming along, and how we might help you. HUGS, Toni -

Susan, thank you for these lovely images. I just finished a book I know you will love: “The Travelling Cat Chronicles” by Hiro Arikawa. I’m going to recommend it in this month’s newsletter. You can probably order it from our shop because we also connect to Amazon, but wherever you get it, you will love it. Please, keep sending touching and inspirational messages, and as always, share your own special sympathies with other community members who can use our support. HUGS to you. Toni-
My best friend is a “cat lady” She rescues strays and finds them homes, she feeds feral strays; she even has a house for them in her back yard to keep them warm. I will certainly recommend the
“Travelling Cat Chronicles” to her-
I think you will both like the book. She could join our community and share information about feral cats – how she gets them, what care she provides, how to get along with them, etc.

Genevieve, yes, the lists are long for qualified service animals, especially for your needs. I don’t know if it will help you but try contacting http://www.cci.org Canine Companions for Independence. If they can’t help you soon enough, ask them where you might go, and if anyone in our community can help Genevieve, please weigh in. Let us know how you are making out. Toni -

@shadycat Geri, Hi….I see your tributes to Buster and Princess and am sorry for your losses. Will you tell us about them, and let us know how you are doing, please?
-
This is a year late but it’s been kind of a crazy year. Buster and Princess came to us as kittens from a woodpile of a neighbor’s. He thought the mother cat was ours. When my daughter and I seen them, we fell in love. We didn’t realize they were so young, @4 weeks, according to the vet. We couldn’t get the mom, so we ended up bottle feeding them. Buster was my baby and spoiled rotten. He was very jealous of Princess being in the bedroom with me if he was not there first. Princess lived up to her name, but, at the same time, she was such a sweet little girl. They both liked chasing the rings off of the milk jugs, when we moved my cabinet in the dining room, we had tons of milk rings, LOL!
We lost Princess July of 2015 age 12. We lost Buster June of 2016 age 13. Buster passed away at home and to this day it is hard for me to think of them without tearing up. I have their ashes and footprints with me.

Genevieve, It IS hard and I am so sorry. Is this Milo or Tara? When you feel like it, will you tell us about your lives together: how you met, if you were introduced by an organization, how your dog helped you, etc. ? I ask because we support Canine Companions for Independence (our next Paw’d Cast guests) and Guide Dogs for the Blind. Any information you share may help someone else. Please let us know how you are doing….-
That is a picture of Milo my cat was Tara she was so smart she used the toilet flushed it and could turn on the water in the sink . Milo I got first as just a pet but found out ver quick he figured my seizures by nature. When a seizure came on he wouldn’t let me stand or pushed me to a wall. However he went to training at K9 university. Now I don’t feel safe like I did scared to go out and trying to find a new service dog I can trust let a long with fee is hard. However K9 university is a wonderful training from basic training and socializing puppy and promble dogs to advanced training

You are the BEST, Susan, to love and care for so many, and all, animals. My first dog, Moses, when I was six years old, was shot by a stupid neighbor and poor Moses died. What is wrong with people?!! Some of our other community members have had animals shot or stolen and it just saddens me, and stuns me. Animals are waaaay better than many people. I just read a book you might like ” The Travelling Cat Chronicles” by Hiro Arikawa. Let me know if you read it. And please, send pictures of your gray kitty “The Queen” of the house and your others, neighbors’ included :-). I am so glad to have you here. Toni -

Kandy, Is this Farrah? She is stunning! A long-haired torty? I am so, so sorry for your parting. It’s just so hard, isn’t it? It doesn’t matter how long, they are always with us. Are you having smiles before tears yet? How can we help you through this? -

We are delighted to have you join us, Chris. Please join in the conversations – you will find them moving and inspirational, I believe. Please tell us about Whisky and Clarabelle (so far, my favorite name of 2021) and share photos if you like. We are also a place to celebrate our faithful friends who are still sharing our homes and hearts. How are you doing – okay? -
