Rita, a “Velcro Dog” – that totally expresses what you mean – Mum stuck to you like glue, right? Poor little thing, fighting such battles, but how lovely and loving of you to care for him. That is so special and I hope you have comfort knowing what you did for, and with Mum, and Allie, is the kindest, most caring thing ….you are a very kind, caring person and I hope, when you heal, you can find room in your heart and home for another in need. @reet67 I am sorry about Mumford and Allie, Rita. What kind of pets were they? Did you have them with you at the same time? How are you doing?

Allie was Welch sherperd who passed after having a stroke. She was 13 years old. Mumford, Mum for short, was adopted to fill the empty hole in my heart. He was a beagle/pug. He had a lot if medical problems including seizures and deformed inner ears. He got extremely ill with a disease that was around his heart. That’s when the vets also found cancer of his liver and it was going into his stomach. He passed Han 14 of 2016. He would’ve been 8 on May 3rd. He was my little Velcro dog.

Gloria, I am sorry for you and your daughter. Poor Monty, being unwell. It doesn’t make it easier to say goodbye, but Monty is relieved of his pain and distress, which is a nice thing for him. It’s too bad our beloved pets are only on loan to us. You and your daughter gave Monty a loving life and, I hope when time passes, you find joy and comfort in your memories. As Terborg says, they are always with us, in our hearts. Hugs. -

Joey is about 10 years old. He is a rescue. He is a Mama’s boy. He does talk. He has a very big personality. He runs the house

Stephie was my dog, she passed away 6 yrs ago, absolute love, Monty was my daughter’s Pomeranian, who recently passed,he had been sick for a while, she’s absolutely devastated. Monty was the best dog ever even tempered, lovable, we will all miss Monty 😘🥰

Oh Ruth, yes, we always carry them with us. I am so happy you open your heart and home to other loves. There is a trade off between the joys we share and the grief when we part, but it’s worth it, isn’t it? Tough, but you wouldn’t trade it, right? Good for you, adopting another with whom you will create wonderful new memories. If you can, send us pictures of all your loves. -

Oh Carmen, is this Willie? What a darling boy. I am so sorry. This is the rub – the parting is so very, very hard, but the time spent together is so very, very wonderful, for us, and them. It takes time, and people like we are in our community, who understand, to work our ways through the grief to find the joy in memories. We are here for you and want to hear from you. Carmen, yes it will take time, and when you least expect it, it will feel like it was only yesterday; although that will bring a tear to your eye, it will also put a smile on your face, knowing that Willie is still so dear to your heart.
