@cmoser Hi Cheryl. Will you tell us about Daisie and Katie, please? Share their stories and pictures? And please, tell us how you are doing..?

    • Katie was my beloved pitty I found her at around 9 months old in an alley behind my son’s Apt couldn’t find the owner and I kept her she was a wonderful girl she passed away Feb 5th 2020 and I miss her everyday.😢💔 Daisy was my little dachshund she was my heart I lost her on Feb 28th 2021. Shechad a grand Mal seizure and was in respiratory distress and by the time I got her to the vet she was pretty much gone 💔😢 it’s been really hard without her when my Katie passed I had Daisy to lean on but without Daisy there’s no one her passing was and still is such a shock to me it’s so quiet without her 💔😢
        • Oh no, Cheryl. It must have been shocking when Daisy had her seizure. Hopefully her passing was as easy as it could be. I am so sorry. You are a kind person to bring Katie into your home and I an sure you and Daisy both missed her. Gosh, February has been a sad month for you and I am glad you are here in our caring community. The house IS different without them. And seeing something of theirs can bring on the tears, can’t it? Please let your thoughts and feelings flow-we’re here for you and will be thinking of you.

Peggy, you what I admire? People who have suffered the loss of a beloved pet, heal, and bring another loving animal into our homes and hearts. The parting can be so devastating, it may want you to say “Never again – I can’t go through that pain”, and that is perfectly legitimate. But for some, at some point, our hearts heal and open again to embrace, enjoy and share life with another beloved faithful friend. The circle and cycle of life keeps moving and we have an opportunity to catch the ride, with furry friends as our part-time partners. Do you think?

Paula, it is so easy to question our actions, which are led by our best intentions and efforts, yet we wonder what could have been done differently…. I think part of that is because we never want to say goodbye and there is no getting around the fact that our furry babies are only on loan to us, so no matter what we do to help, at some point the time will come for parting. And yes, it IS devastating, the tears come from deep within, little things carry big memories, and it just hurts so much. Please, be kind to yourself when you think of all loving, fun times you gave Chelsea, and that she shared with you. You are very sweet to think of others, and we are certainly thinking of you. Please stay with our community and let us know how you are. Hugs, Toni
