Honey looks like she is listening attentively. Glad she enjoys the Paw’d Casts ;-). Is she watching the CCI Live Puppy Cam? Tooooo cute! And those puppies are Doldens, Labs and mixes of both. -

I’m sorry, Wayne. Was Max your pet you had to say goodbye to? I am so sorry. But, I am happy for you and Sammy. I bet he is handsome and smart…How long have you been together? Getting settled in?-
Yes Max was the dog that past away. I have had Sammy since 3/10/2021. He getting more comfortable being. He is a very smart, caring dog. He likes attention

Sandie, a week is not very long. A lifetime isn’t enough to erase the memories, but they do come with smiles, and the tears abate after a time. It’s too soon for you to have that right now. Duke is still very much with you – in your rooms where you romped and petted, the toys with which you played, where you all slept – Go through the tears. Weep when they come to you. And let us know how you are progressing. Because it is a process through which we must move, and underneath all the sorrow and extreme heartache, there is the absolute joy and love you and Duke shared. That will come. You be sad now, and know we are here with you. -

Oh Sherri…I shed a tear with you for Dexter Deboniar…I am so sorry for the pain you must have, and hope you find your way to happy, good memories soon. What a regal name – will you tell us how Dexter Debonair got that? And, what type of pet was he? May we share some of our photographic memories with you? Sherri, I know you are raw with emotion now, and am really so sad for you this evening, and when you can, please, tell us how you are doing. HUG -

Kathy, I understand your thoughts. Glenn is such a comfort, and gives real, useable guidance to help heal. He is trained, a professional grief counselor, and while we in our community lend our understanding and empathy, sometimes a professional insight makes a world of difference in the process and progress of our healing. Ann, how are you feeling today? We all have to honor the quality of life our babies have and make the hard decision to medicate or not, depending on the side affects and how well it’s helping. My 19 year old, Squirt, was ready to say goodbye, I took her to a hospital, and the doctor said she just needed antibiotics. I did the same thing you did with Kairi – tried giving it to her but she got to the point she didn’t want me near her because she didn’t want the medicine and was really ready to call it a day. One week later, she was bleeding from every orifice and I took her to her own vet, and like you, held her. I still resent that the hospital doctor made Squirt endure that final week. I shouldn’t have listened to them. Letting them go peacefully is the kindest, most loving gesture we can make. I still miss her long fur on my clothes. But I sure wouldn’t trade in the many years we shared. You keep us posted on how you are doing. -
