Kelly, your Smokey looks a lot like my old girl (17). They could be related ! Well, maybe as Jimmy Buffet said “If we weren’t all crazy we would go insane”….. Will you tell us about your life with Smokey, please?-
I adopted smokey from a local animal shelter. He was 7-8 yrs of age and came from a hoarding/cruelty case. I only got to spend 4 yrs with him until he passed away two weeks ago. He was the most loving cat I’ve had and was always by my side. I miss him tremendously and didnt get to say goodbye so it’s hard

I’m sorry you only had four years together – I’ve been with mine just over four years and couldn’t love her more, so I understand. Weren’t you both lucky to have each other. But it is such a deep sorrow to lose them. I am very sorry, Kelly, and hope you will find smiles before tears soon. Please stay with us and let us know how you are.

Oh Sue, yes, of course it is. How could it be otherwise? You and Scooter were so lucky to have those years together, but boy, the parting is just the hardest….A friend of mine reminds me that our pets are “only on loan to us” and while that is true, it doesn’t make it easier. I know you will move through this and one day you will find smiles before tears, and I hope you will let us know how you are coming along. -

I certainly understand the depth of your grief, especially after so many years of going through life’s ups and downs together. I lost my mom and my little dog in the same month i really don’t leave my house I can’t be around the public at all I’m just sad all the time

She was a cat. Domestic Short Hair, black & white tuxedo pattern with a little bit of tiger stripe on her. I got her when she was about 2 months old. She gave me almost 15 years of unconditional love. -

Kimberly, I am heartbroken with you over Nums, and understand Yoda is too. Isn’t it awful, the pain, and while we know when we bring a love into our hearts, one day we will part, the feelings of pain and loss are so strong…. You wouldn’t have traded the lives and love you shared, but this is the time to feel the grief and allow yourself to cry, and hold Yoda and share some tears, and strength from the loving memories of Nums. Please, Kimberly, let us know tomorrow, the next day, any time , how you both are doing. We are here for you, with understanding, sympathy, and HUGS. -
