Sherri, you are so right – their baskets or beds, or for me, the pet food aisle, places where your’e used to them being and yes, always on the look out so we don’t step on them. Did Dexter Debonair sleep with you, too? If so, that’s really tough, not having him beside you. I am just so very sorry Sherri and hope each day brings a few more smiles. Please let us know. This montage of his pictures is so charming, if you like we can make a blanket or mug for you with them soon. We are just adding select memorial pieces. We’ll send an email when they are available. In the mean time, know we are here for you if you want to share more of how you are, because we are thinking of you. Hugs, Toni-
Dear Sherri, I want to personally Thank You for your kind contribution – you don’t know how much it means to help us maintain our caring and kind community of animal lovers. Thank you, thank you, and please, share your updates and kind thoughts and sympathies with others. Sending you a Big Hug, with gratitude. Toni

Oh Ann, I got choked up reading this and am so very sorry. I know what you mean – if you see a spot where she slept or sunned, glance down the pet food aisle, think of calling out to her….just so many things bring tears along, with sweet memories. If you would like to post a lasting tribute to Kairi, we just launched our “Memorials” tab. Please keep us updated on how you are doing, Ann. We’re thinking of you. -

Erika, you are lovely and loving to open your heart and home to another fur ball. Just a few days ago i posted the sad news that many adopted pets are being returned to shelters, so you may have a better chance now. Use our “Find Services” tab, enter your zip code, then using the drop-down menu, click on Rescues & Shelters to find resources in your area. Good luck, and let us know who you find (or who finds you :)…) -

@robbie2828 Robin, does Nubia have a special meaning? It’s a beautiful name. I am sorry for your parting. What kind of pet was Nubia? May we see pictures, please, and hear about your lives together. How are you doing, Robin?

@donnasr Donna, I am sorry for your parting from Oscar. What kind of pet was he ? Do you have photos to share with us? Are you okay?
-
Thank you for reaching out! Oscar was a dachshund. He was 16 when he passed away from heart failure. I’m doing ok but I miss him terribly – he was my best friend and I don’t know if I will ever get used to not having him around. My biggest worry was that I wouldn’t be with him when he passed but I was there and I know he knew how much he was loved. For that I am grateful. I do have a pic of him taken just a few months ago. Thanks again for the check in.

Awww…I am sorry. My cat is 17 now and I know how hard it is to see them aging, things are not working as well, and yet they are still sweet, loving and innocent. Never complaining. It’s just so deeply touching and she inspires me to be a better person. I am so sorry, Paula. If you can open your heart and home to another, rescues & shelters are having a terrible time with people returning the pets they adopted during this pandemic. I am glad to have you as a part of our community, invite you to lend your support to others, and please let us know what ,and how you are doing. -

This is so sad – tragic really: As we anticipated and so hoped against, people are returning their adopted pets to rescues and shelters. Adoptions went up with the Covid pandemic, and now rescues and shelters are struggling to keep up with the influx of pets being returned. Please, if you can, open your heart and home to adopting another pet, donate money, food, or whatever help you can to your local rescue or shelter. Find rescues & shelters in your area by clicking our “Find Services” tab, enter your zip code and use the drop-down menu to search in your area.
Thank you for being a caring, kind animal lover, a supporter of pets and the facilities that care for them, and a part of our community. Toni -

Oh Linda, April has showered you with sadness and I am sorry. It’s going to be awhile before your heart mends and you begin to recall memories with smiles before tears. Right now, let the tears flow and do good things for yourself. I think there is comfort in knowing you are a person capable of great, lasting, deep love, and that you gave and shared the best life with your beloved pets – your friends. How long were you and Tessa together? What kind of pet was she? And Keller?…..Can you share some photos with us? - Load More
