She was a wonderful dog who I loved dearly.I miss her so much.I cry everyday.

It has been 4 months and it feels like yesterday.She was a beautiful Jack Russell.She was my ESA.I miss her.

There is no time line for grieving, Stephen, and even after much time passes and you find smiles before tears, little things can trigger memories and emotions. In our Shop, we have two books to help with the grieving process if you would find that helpful. You are welcome to share your feelings and keep us updated on how you are doing – that’s why our community is here – to support one another through this terribly difficult time. When you feel up to it, if you have pictures, we’d love to see her. Sending you a HUG…..

I’m doing ok. I lost two chi girls last year. At different times. I rescued both of them. One was two mon old when I got her. The other was around four months old. She was the mist abused. She was beaten & kicked . So she had a broken led that never healed properly. She had a horrible limp the rest of her life. But I was blessed to have them both for eleven years. The both had heart murmurs. So I just couldn’t handle being alone. I loved them both so very much. Now I have another little girl chi. Her name is Penny. 💗

Lisa, you are a kind soul to rescue these poor little babies. I just can’t understand how anyone could ever be mean to them…. May we see pictures of them, and Penny! How old is Penny? Is she a rescue, too?

Oh Bernice, I am so sorry to hear this about Renia. The hardest, most loving, kind and generous thing we have to do is provide a comfortable release for our most beloveds. It’s an anguish for us, and relief for them. As awful as the decision is, aren’t we glad we can help ease their way? I am just so very sorry Bernice because, while we know intellectually we did what was best for them, we still suffer the depths of the emotional devastation of saying goodbye. Please, stay here with us and let us know how you are doing, and what you are doing to move through your loss. I am sending you my sympathy, and a HUG. Toni -

Oh no, Dianne. Oh no…. Does she know what happened with Princess? What a terrible shock. I am so very sorry, and so glad she has you to be there for her. Please let us know how your friend is doing. I know YOU are very sad and heartbroken for her – you and Princess were probably friends, too, and you must be very upset, too. Oh my, please please keep us posted on how you are all doing, Dianne. Toni in the last two years,my friend’s dog had diabetes and for some unknown reason had both eyes removed.My friend Jennifer said it had something to maybe do with her liver,but my friend said her dog’s abdomen was very distended.This dog was my friend’s entire existance.-

Don’t worry about a few typos. I have them more often than I like. Your stories are not too long – we want to know about your life with your pets. Service animals are magnificent, and I am glad you are sharing some information about them with us. We have a Paw’d Cast with the CEO of Canine Companions for Independence on our site (and wherever you listen to podcasts), and I wonder where you were paired with Rambo -did it happen to be CCI.org? If not, can you tell us more to help others? You are such a nice person to take in and care for so many pets. I am so sorry for the losses you have had, and wish you many more happy years with Rambo. This Fourth of July, hot hot hot temperatures are very dangerous for pets and we hope yours are staying cool, and safe. Loud noises can be disturbing to our pets, so please take care to shield them if you can. I hope you all enjoy the weekend, and if you can, share your support with those in our community who are missing their beloveds this weekend. Hugs to all :-). Toni

Thank you for your kind words. We lost Fredo on Oct. 29 2020. I love and miss him so much, I still tear up when I think about him. He was 16 years old. He was a quiet boy but loved the outdoors. He was such a good boy! Thank you for reaching out. I hope to add a photo soon. Laura
