• @sav84 Savanah, is this Lilo? What a cutie. May we hear about Lilo and see more pictures? Are you doing okay?

    • Yes this is lilo . It’s been 3 yrs since she crossed the rainbow bridge.she was 11yrs old .she is a blue Merle chihuahua. It’s still a very touchy subject .I’m ok but I miss her dearly.
        • Oh… the time it takes to find smiles varies and there is no set amount of time for grieving, and healing. In our conversations here we have shared that, while we love all of our furry friends, we have special connections with some, just as we do with humans. And some take way more time to adjust to. I am glad you are a part of our caring community, Savanah. If you feel like it, scroll through some posts and extend your own sympathies and understanding – it helps both the receiver, and maybe makes you feel a connection. I’ll be thinking of you and Lilo.
      • @puglover Hi Robyn. Please tell us about your pets – are you a Pug lover?

What a darling Winston was. I am very sorry for the hard decision you had to make and know that you did it in Winston’s best interest, at the expense of your pain of saying goodbye. That is the most loving, generous thing we can, and have, to do for our beloveds. Many of us in this community have had to, or are anticipating, making the same decision, and we understand. It doesn’t make it easier for you, but I hope it helps to know we are here for you. And I hope you find many smiles in your memories of the long, loving lives you were lucky to share.
          • Tony Noel, Thank you for your encouragement. We were fortunate to have him as part of our family for 15 yrs. Too many of my friends had to put their pets down. I’m making a photo album of just Winston. He’s included in our family photo albums. I don’t want to forget him. ❤️🙏
              • Oh, you won’t ever forget him :-)…he’s a part of you and the fabric of your life, and some of your happiest memories. How wonderful to make an album just for Winston. I hope you will share it with us.
            • @medebs Hi Deborah. I am sorry for your loss of Mya and hope you are doing okay – are you? Will you tell us about your lives together, and share some photos with us?

Karen, I am sorry for your parting from Hot Rod. What a great name, and a darling guy. It’s so hard to say goodbye at any age, and after 19 years, while we want to understand he had a good, long life, all the times spent together, through good, bad, up, down, happy, sad…well, the companionship and love will certainly be missed. I hope you find smiles before tears with his memory. I am sending you a huuuuuuug…….

When did you say goodbye to Maggie? How did you meet? How long were you together. Thank you for sharing your pictures. I know you miss them, and how hard it is to part. Hopefully you have smiles with the memories.
                            • Maggie came to me as a rescue. I wasn’t pleased when my hubby brought her home, but the husk (husky) loved her, so she stayed. I had 4 others at the time. When my hubby died she grieved as much as I did, so we clung to each other for comfort. She slept on me, ate with me, played with Ells. I loved her so
