Pearl, I am so sorry you had to say goodbye to darling Munchkin💔Your final gift of a peaceful passing is the most loving, generous thing you could do for him. And it hurts deeply and in ways no other loss can. I hope you can recall the many fun, funny, loving times you were lucky to share with Munchkin, and with Brownie, and find some comfort in your memories. You are welcome to light a candle for Brownie, too. Please keep us updated about how you are doing, especially during the holiday season – it can be especially hard at this time. We are here for you. Lin, I am so sorry💔No, your life will be different, but it changed the moment you welcomed Vinny into your home and heart. I hope you can remember all the wonderful times you were so lucky to share, and that you find some comfort knowing Vinny had a marvelous life with you. You might write a note from Vinny , to you, with what you think Vinny would wish for you now. I bet he would want you be happy for your shared lives, and is grateful for all your love. Oh Vicky, I am so very sorry for your loss of Baby💔Your feeling of being”lost” is understandable – you shared a loving life with Baby and now she is not with you. It is devaastating. How long were you together? How old was Baby? Was she unwell I hope you can find a bit of comfort knowing she is at peace, and that you can remember some of the many fun, funny, times you shared.
Vicky, I think it will be helpful for you to join our group meeting of kind, understanding friends this Thursday at 7PM Eastern (4 Pacific) to talk about Baby, and your feelings. It really can help.

Shawn, how long has Goofy been gone? He’s so cute, maybe someone took him home and he is having a good life. I hope that’s what happened, and you are right – we don’t know. That makes it even harder – wondering. Many years ago, I had a cat that went out and never came back. I still like to think she was “catnapped”. I am so sorry for all of your losses.💔Toni -

Shawn, Your mother gave her baby the kindest, most generous gift – a peaceful passing, as you did for your sweet Panda💔We promise to always do what is best for them, and you both honored your commitments. It’s devastating for us, but they are free of pain. Oh Karen, how awful💔Your shelter should work hard to keep them together, and find them a good home. Saying goodbye, for any reason, is devastating and I am so very sorry. Cheryl, When my BG died I felt the same way💔I hope it helps you to make yourself remember a fun or funny thing Sissy did, and that you allow yourself to smile with the memory. What a darling picture. Are you sure she isn’t in a shelter or hospital? Was she chipped? Was she unwell? If so, she may well have gone off – some animals choose to pass alone. The not knowing what happpened is terrible – many years ago my Chivo went out, which she always did, and never came back. I called everywhere and posted pictures, but never saw her again. To this day I prefer to think she was picked up and kept by someone who was good to her. Whatever happened with your Chole, I am sorry for your loss and pain. How long were you together? Bambi, I am so sorry and know the pain is deep, and real. Grief is very personal and each of us heals in our time, in our own ways. There may always be a pang of sadness when you think of her or see her picture. One thing I encourage you to do is to recall a fun or funny moment with Baby Angel that makes you smile or laugh. It’s a way to honor your relationship, and remind you of the many reasons you opened your heart to her. You might also write a note that you think Baby Angel would write to you. Do you think she would want you to be happy for the life you shared? I suspect so. And write notes to her as a way to stay connected and let your love flow.
