@bearfan Hello Sheryl. Welcome to our caring community. I am sorry for your loss of Rascals. What a clever name. Please tell us about your lives together, and share some pictures. How are you doing, Sheryl? Is your loss recent, or has it been awhile?

It’s funny how taking a picture was so different. We had to have them developed and actually wait for them to come back – imagine that! I know what you mean, wishing we had a photo or two, but we still remember them, no matter how much time passes. I have only smiles with her memories, it’s been so very long ago now…… -

Laurie, I too had a Nikki, and lost her many years ago. She was a calico kitten who died much too young, at nine months. I don’t have pictures of her to share, but will you share yours, and tell us about your Nikki? I think we will always miss our pets with whom we had/have special bonds.-
I’m so sorry for your loss losing a pet is like losing a part of the family. I’m sorry I don’t have a picture of my Nikki either it makes me so sad that I never was a real big picture taker back then cuz I sure would like to have some photos of her she was absolutely beautiful she was a Rottweiler so precious to me such a great personality loved the kids especially she was very protective of them very protective of the family it came very natural to her but she was also a very kind loving and caring companion companion I miss her very much

Yes they are angels, for sure. I wrote a poem about that:
We are all angels
but now I have wings
We play in the clouds
and everyone sings
So don’t be unhappy
I’m always above
To shelter and guide you
And send you my Love -

Oh Brenda, that is so hard – knowing he was unwell and anticipating goodbye. Every day was fraught with tension and fear that he was suffering, I bet. It’s a form of “pre-grieving” and sometimes the final release seems like a good thing, but the pain of loss is very deep and it takes time to find smiles before tears with his memories. We certainly understand and are here for you to share with. How is his sister coping? Please share a HUG with her from me. Toni -

@lindakloos Hello Linda. I am sorry for your loss of Diante. That’s a beautiful name – does it have a special meaning? What kind of pet was Diante? May we see some pictures, and hear about your lives together? Are you doing okay, Linda?

Lisa and Martha, We have a “Private” conversation section here in our Community if that is easier for you to share just between yourselves. It’s in the conversation box. -

@sweet1 Brenda, I am sorry for your loss of Winston. What an impressive name – makes one think of Churchill. What type of pet was Winston? How did you meet? How long were you together? May we see some photos? How are you doing, Brenda? Okay, or not so good?

Thank you for asking. He was a Yorkie, 12 years old. We have had him since he was six weeks old. He had cancer. It’s been pretty rough for both of us. We still have his sister. Again thank you for asking.

I don’t know where you live, Lisa, but you can find a shelter or rescue in your area by using our “Find Services” tab (at the top of this page). There is a drop-down menu to click on. You simply enter your city, use the menu, and they will pop up, including addresses and phone numbers. Some shelters have funds to cover the cost of adoption. Or, you may want to Foster Care a doggie, usually at no cost to you, from a shelter. Let us know if we can further help you, and what happens if you reach out to a shelter. -

Oh Lisa, how very sad and difficult for you. You are among many here who are widowed and/or live alone, who may have friends, or maybe not so many, and we all have deep, meaningful relationships with our beloved pets that fill us in ways no one else can. Nights are bad, and days can be, too. The smallest of things can set off strong emotions – a walk or glance down the pet food aisle, an ad on TV, seeing a toy or place they loved to be…. You are right to be grateful for the time and love we shared, and while we know intellectually it was so wonderful for them, too, emotionally it is devastating to say goodbye. Please keep us posted on how you are doing, and always feel welcome to share more pictures and stories with us.-
Right now I am trying to find a little dog or puppy that needs a good loving home I don’t have the money to get another little dog I have prayed that God will answer my prayers to help me get another little fur baby. I’m on a fixed income and I live alone I just need another one to love and fill this void of missing my 2 girls. Thank you for your kind words and understanding on how sad I feel right now I am devastated. Thank you 🙏💜

Dianne, some humane societies have funds to help with this type of situation. Maybe they will be able to assist you. Did you contact Waggle.org? What did they say? -

Dianne, you have agonized over this for months, and George has been so up and down, that no one here would ever fault you (or anyone) for making this selfless gesture for her sake. I am terribly sorry and know how very deeply this hurts you. But poor little George will finally find relief and release, and that’s who we have to think of. I am sending you my heartfelt sympathy. Please check in with us over the next days, weeks and months, and let us be a support for you. Toni -

Oh, did I tell you my girl has lost her hearing? She’s doing well, but I have to be more careful with her. -

Wonderful to hear. Be sure you mention Faithful Friends, and try to contact Crystal. She commented to your posts here. Do let us know what happens, Dianne. My cat has something like IBS (her is a progressive inflammatory disease) for which she takes antibiotics and steroids. I am hopeful for you both ๐ -

I do not want to have her put down because I am actually thinking she may have worms. She is eating, and I am continuing the Pedialyte, not a lot,but every 2 hours.I love her to death,if I can prolong her life, I will. But if the vet says otherwise, then I will take it from there.I have never seen her scoot her rump on the floor, but I am thinking her issue may be controllable.
