    My senior girl, Apache Princess has had a rough two weeks, the weather, rain and then cold. Has taken tow on her arthritis and joints. She has taken her medications daily, but just hasn’t felt like stirring around much. She and I slept into 2024. I been catering to her a little more, letting her eat and drink lying in her bed. Her medications make her sleep. She napped Christmas Day she napped while cooked lying on her bed in the dining room/kitchen area so she could see and hear me. This was the first year since I adopted her at 11 years old, I’ve had trouble buying her Christmas. She doesn’t play a lot with her plushies but gets a burst of energy now and then to crab one and play with it. What do you buy a 16-year-old pup.

      I’m sorry your Apache Princess is having a rough time. I think she would just want cuddles and kisses for Christmas because I’m sure she has received many gifts from you in her 16 years ❤️
      Just love on her and enjoy her. I hope she gets to feeling better. Hugs to you.

        Barbara, Apache Princesss is fortunate that you are so sensitive and aware of her needs. She is telling you what she wants and you are providing that for her. That’s what we always aim to do, at any age or stage of our pets’ life, don’t you think? The hard part of loving is seeing the daily effects of aging, and we suffer the real, and imagined, process of that. You are giving her what she has always wanted – love and care, and I hope you will share her status, and yours, with us as we move along this path. We are here with you, and for you, Barbara. 💕Toni
