Remember

Oh Carol, how hard this is for you – not being able to say goodbye. It’s never easy, even when we can. You say Chester is not in pain now – was he ill or ailing? We wish pain free peace for our loved ones, and I am glad with you that Chester is relieved and released. But darn it, the pain is deep within because the love is too, and Carol, it takes as much time as it takes to move through it. Little things trigger big emotions, like seeing a favorite toy, or passing where they liked to sleep…. One day you will smile before the tears with a memory of Chester. You may find “Griffin’s Heart” helpful – it’s part book, part journal and some of our community members have found it very helpful. (It’s in our shop). It hasn’t been very long since you parted and I hope you will share more about Chester, and keep us posted about how you are doing. Here is a {HUG}. Toni
