I had to surrender my two girls due to eviction. Just broke my heart. I asked for them to be adopted together as they’re a bonded pair. Jojo was 17 at the time, and JG was 7.

Oh Karen, how awful💔Your shelter should work hard to keep them together, and find them a good home. Saying goodbye, for any reason, is devastating and I am so very sorry. Cheryl, When my BG died I felt the same way💔I hope it helps you to make yourself remember a fun or funny thing Sissy did, and that you allow yourself to smile with the memory. What a darling picture. Are you sure she isn’t in a shelter or hospital? Was she chipped? Was she unwell? If so, she may well have gone off – some animals choose to pass alone. The not knowing what happpened is terrible – many years ago my Chivo went out, which she always did, and never came back. I called everywhere and posted pictures, but never saw her again. To this day I prefer to think she was picked up and kept by someone who was good to her. Whatever happened with your Chole, I am sorry for your loss and pain. How long were you together? Lost my Chole last May at 17 years old she broke out in the middle of the night and we were not able to find her. I live in a rural area so no one took her she went off and died somewhere-

We lost our 13 year old girl, Shelby in the early hours of November 7, 2024. She was a great dog smart, fun, protective. She loved her cookies and her favorite thing was walks. She passed at home with her family. We love her and miss her so much. Our hearts are breaking

There may always be a pang of sadness when you think of her or see her picture. One thing I encourage you to do is to recall a fun or funny moment with Baby Angel that makes you smile or laugh. It’s a way to honor your relationship, and remind you of the many reasons you opened your heart to her. You might also write a note that you think Baby Angel would write to you. Do you think she would want you to be happy for the life you shared? I suspect so. And write notes to her as a way to stay connected and let your love flow.
