About the Artist
April Jackson was born and raised in Colorado. Her colorful surroundings inspired her to create. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Art in Illustration in 2019 at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. April has been doing private commissions for friends and family for a few years now and is passionate about doing portraits that people will cherish forever. She has experimented with many different mediums but found her niche with digital painting. April uses traditional techniques in her digital work so that her paintings are very personal. Artists like Joseph Christian Leyendecker inspire her cartoony realistic illustrative style. April is also the dog mom of a 5-year-old Siberian Husky named Jenna who often inspires her work. April hopes to bring joy and a sense of healing to those who need it through her unique portraits.
