Sun, 09 Aug 2026 18:09:07 -0600 https://buddypress.org/?v= en-US 30 hourly 2 6ab3bdeefa2d173a8262d9d0cff1dab0 Dianne posted an update: Hi.Thursday afternoon our 13 year old long haired Chihuahua […] https://www.faithfulfriends.com/social/activity/p/73075/ Sat, 04 Oct 2025 19:54:24 -0600 Hi.Thursday afternoon our 13 year old long haired Chihuahua Molly started having seizures that went on and off all day.She stopped eating and drinking water,and just wanted to hide.She started losing her bodily functions and would wet on herself and would pee all over my granddaughter’s bed,which wasn’t normal.She could hardly stand to go out to potty.So on early Friday morning,Molly lost the use of her back legs.That was the decision to make her an appointment to get pts.As we got to her appointment on Friday,Molly was totally limp.The vet checked her gums and they were very pale.She also had non cancerous mammary tumors.The vet said due to the seizures,she more than likely had a brain tumor that caused her back legs to stop working.Vet also said she had two days to live.But my daughter in law and I were there when she took her final breath.Unfortunately we couldn’t afford her ashes.But she is finally free from pain.

His urn is beautiful as my daughter picked it out for him.As soon as my family sells my house,they will be bringing Oscar home up to Western NY where I am.I did some calculations and Oscar was about 28 years old.
I miss my tuxedo best friend.He can never be replaced.

Anyways,my daughter had been caring for Oscar and he had been showing signs he was ready to go.When my daughter to him to the vet,they gave him his sedative,but my daughter was holding Oscar in her arms,as his face was in her cheek,the vet didn\’t give him half of the second injection,as he purred,and he was gone.The vet told my daughter that Oscar was the oldest cat she had ever seen.
When we moved to where I was living,in the three and a half years,his memory was fading.It was to where Oscar couldn\’t remember me,but I was just the nice lady who fed him,gave him water and scooped his litter box.He was forgetting to eat.He used to weigh about 15 pounds,but he was light as a feather.He was supposed to move up to Western New York with my family,but he couldn\’t have made a three day, 17 hour road trip.So I did some math in my head,and when I found him almost frozen to death on my porch back in 2007,he was an adult cat,maybe 7 years old.He wasn\’t a spring chicken.I am guessing he was way over 24 years old.
My heart is really breaking because he took a huge piece of my heart with him.He was my best friend,and my constant companion.There will never be another cat like Oscar.I get his ashes back on Friday.

    My beautiful ginger baby,Irish died.
    I am not quite sure if it was intentional or accidental,but someone poisoned him.
    He was my inside/ outside,fully neutered and vaccinated love muffin.I found him as a kitten.
    I still go outside to see him and open up my door so he can come in and eat.I miss his sweet,soft meow.His death hit me hard.I am a cat lover and even though it has been two months,I am lost without him.But I still have Oscar to keep me company though.

    Well, I am having a hard time dealing with Irish’s death.I had him since he was a kitten.
    I miss him scratching at my door to be let in and fed.I miss his sweet meow.I am in tears right now as I write this.As for Oscar,he knows something is wrong.My heart will never heal.I feel guilty.

          Hi everyone.Well,today is not a good day.Someone poisoned my cat,Irish.He is an inside outside boy.I hear him crying about 3 am,and found him.He was lethargic,he wasn\’t able to recognize me and when he walked,he was staggering.
          I had put him in a towel,and he laid next to me.I got dressed and walked down to my family\’s house,and when I came back,he was cold and unresponsive.I had him for three and a half years.My heart is shattered.My other cat,Oscar is looking for him.

          Yes,my mama cat would have been 15.Princess would have turned 15 next May 5.I miss them both dearly but I know they are always near by.

            It is.My mama cat was about 15 years old,and visually impaired,she was becoming sick.She accidentally got out of my house,and nobody noticed.Hours later,a woman knocked on my door with the collar of my mama cat.She was struck by a vehicle and died immediately.My Chihuahua,Princess had surgery months prior to remove a soft tissue cancerous growth on her belly,and more on her backside.The vet gave her 50/50 chance of living.But one evening,as I walked her,we came back to the house,and her front legs went limp.I picked her up and put her on her blanket in my room.She sat up,took a few breaths and she was gone.Her tongue started turning blue,and she was gone.
            I still miss both.
