⁶Toni I told my son it was his fault. When he brought him to me Christmas eve Beary Good Boy rode in Ray’s lap from Dallas to San Antonio. But I was doing on line schooling full time for my bachelor’s so in order to give time to this tiny bay boy he laid between my key board and me on my desk. He was actually kennel trained untilled I let a young lady that was a friend of the family move in while her husband was in Iraq. She would bring him up stairs at night and put him in bed with me. So……poof there went the kennel. But I don’t think the kennel was needed once he was house broken. I was the one who spoiled him. He was actually the only dog that only was mine. Growing up and raising the family the dogs were ours. Beary Good Boy was just my baby. I still talk to him. I still tell him it’s bed time and I still see him when I sit down to eat. I’m not sure if I will get another baby again or not. I will be moving soon from California to Texas so if I do it will be after I move. I also have some major health issues so I have to think about that as well. But I have not said no to the idea.

I grew up with dogs. My husband didn\'t care for dogs until we adopted one off the street. He fell in love with her. He died in 2002 and I lose her in 2007. My Beary Good Boy was a Christmas gift from my son in 2008. BGB was 10 weeks old. He was a long haired dachshund. I grew up with different dachshunds and my son knew my favorite was the long haired. In fact our first dog was a long haired. I did not want another dog. I was working full time and going to school full time and I just felt I didn\'t have enough time for a puppy. But....... as soon as he put that puppy in my arms it was over
I had him to love and spoil for 12 years.

These were when my Heart Good Boy was still healthy and doing good. He has cushings disease and when it it full force he went do w in just a matter of 2weeks. I had to put him down Nov 1 2020 and my heart is still breaking. He was 12 years old. The picture where he is laying on the blue was just a few days before I lost him. I know that when he crossed that rainbow bridge he became that loving and playful dog again. I will see him again.
