Before misty came into my life I’ve always had dogs , me and my husband volunteered at a veterans clothing store. Misty was abandoned with her siblings and a couple found them and found homes for the rest but nobody wanted misty because she was the runt of the litter she fit in the palm of my hand when they brought her in the shop asking if anyone wanted a kitten I asked if I could hold her as soon as she handed me misty its like she reached in and took my heart I didn’t ask my husband if we can have her, I took her up and said meet the newest member of our family. She was with us for 11 years she confirmed me when I was crying after I found out my husband had cancer, she was by my side after I had my surgery for cancer, there was something special about her unfortunately last year she got sick and I had to put her down. But I stayed with her till the end because she was my girl and I didn’t want strangers faces be the last thing she sees as she crossed the bridge even though it tore me apart I kept telling her I loved her and I’m sorry I wouldn’t cry in front of her but as soon as I seen her soul leave her I cried because it killed me . as they carried her out I gave her one last kiss on the forehead . I cried for days and even to this day I find myself crying I’m sorry this is long but she was so special
