We lost our Max Sunday 11/29/2021 @ 1:11am. He was such a loving little soul. We had rescued him from an abuse situation. He had also been run over by a vehicle and so he had arthritis early on in his back legs.
When we brought him home he had no idea what a bed was, how to play with a toy, that food and water were always available to him. We had to teach him so much, but he also taught us so much. Like how to love again, how to enjoy the simple pleasure of just sitting together with no expectations. We had lost that since our son died and my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We valued every single minute with Max. He gave unconditionally right up until the end. We knew his time was short as he also had cancer but we weren\’t prepared. We miss him desperately , our hearts are shattered and our home is empty now. How do you handle this pain and heartache? It\’s all consuming and seems as if it won\’t end.
