Joanne, feeling that we could have done more is very natural. I think I tried to do too much for my BG and let her go on too long. She had a seizure that I thought was choking, but when she had the second one, in my lap, it was clear that I should have let her go sooner. It;s okay to second guess yourself, but I hope that you will instead remember all the great things you did for, and with, Mama Cat. I wish, we all do, that we never had to say goodbye but our babies are only “on loan” to us and we can only love them lots while they are here. And no, I don’t think keeping her near you is weird at all. You might look at Memory Vessels as a way to keep her close to you. And Joanne, I hope you will join our group meeting March 20th to talk about our feelings with us. Toni

    My sweet Boy Bowser left us February 15. He was my lifeline. I personally trained him to be my PTSD Dog. He would lay on my chest when I would have a PTSD attack, by doing this it would force me to slow down my breathing. My precious sweet boy saved me sooo many times. I just picked his ashes up yesterday, I\’m so incredibly broken 😭💔 it\’s not fair! I want my boy back.

    My beautiful Echo…she will forever be the light of my life. She crossed over on January 29th and my mom joined her on February 6th. I feel completely lost right now. Losing them both at the same time has left an emptiness that feels overwhelming. I\’d give the world to be able to hug them both and feel whole again.
