Sorry I have not been on here for awhile. After I broke my leg and the Physical Therapist messed it up, losing my Sheba shortly after that. I broke my back last July and well it has been and always will be hard doing anything.
The only real happy thing that has happened was my Milo. He is such a sweet cat. Think he knows when I am.having a bad day. He cuddles and purrs which does help my mood
I sent pictures I think after I got him but will send updated pics. He is a huge lovable fur baby.

Hello Toni and group.
All is going ok here. So hot I stay in most of the time.
My Milo is doing well and is the most loving kitty. He has been a blessing since I got hom after Sheba passed away a year ago on the 19th of this month.
We both miss Trixie but I know she was sentto me by God to teach me some life lessons. I know she now is whole – she can see in both eyes and hear now. I look forward to seeing her at that rainbow bridge one day. Milo is over missing Trixie now I think. She has been gone almost 2 months. I really was blessed to have her.
Tried bringing in another cat but she just attacked Milo.so had to take her back. He seems to be happy being the only fur baby. I have health challenges so one cat is probably enough. I won\’t let another one hurt Gru.
Took Gru for his rabies on Saturday and hoping he won\’t have to go back for 3 years when the law requires another rabies. He is strickly inside cat so maybe doesn\’t need it. We will see in 3 years. With the bad luck I have had with vet treament for my cat I am planning and trying to stay away from them.
Anyway hope everyone is doing well in this very hot summer.

Thank you Toni your sweet comments are very helpful. Milo looked for her and cried all day yesterday and continues today. I had to go pick up the cat carrier and pay my bill this morning. Not going to bring carrier inside yet. Gotta let Milo grieve and stop looking for her.

    It is with a very heavy heart that I am letting you know my 7 month old (I have only had just over 2 months) Trixie died last night following surgery yesterday late afternoon. She had just gotten out of surgery and they were waiting for her to wake up to extubate her but she coded. They got her back and I just happened to have gone up there not knowing what had happened. I got to hold her for a few minutes. She never woke up and coded again at which time the vet called and said she did not make it. I am devestated but do know she knew love for the time with me and know she loved me. RIP MY TRIXIE. YOU ARE NOW WHOLE AND CAN SEE AND HEAR. WILL MISS YOU UNTIL WE ARE TOGETHER AGAIN AT THAT RAINBOW BRIDGE. THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME BE YOUR MOM FOR 2 WONDERFUL MONTHS AND TEACHING LIFE LESSONS.

    Trixie was spayed yesterday. They looked closer at her eye while she was asleep. All I know is they said there is scaring. This is a clinic that is a spay clinic that has been treating her. Now that I officially adopted her I have an appt with my vet on the 27th. Hope to learn more then. She is the sweetest happy little girl inspite of her issues.

      The little calico has the eye injury that we have been treating since I got her and vet says it is getting better. I think she is very hard of hearing or deaf. Will have to get vets opinion but she is a very sweet happy girl so guess it does not matter to her.
      Your babies are beautiful. We are so lucky to have them.

          Sheba was 4 years old and was a big cat. She was so very sweet.
          Trixie. Like all my cats. Will be inside kitty only. Too many dangers for them outside.
          I do feed one outside feral cat. I had her fixed a couple of years ago. She is like the pit bull of cat world – chases all the other cats out of my yard. Think she is my outside protector. She brings me dead mice and lizards.
          Thanks for caring and helping through the tough times.
          Will keep you posted on Trixie’s eye.

            Having these two have helped the loneliness I felt. I think trying to help Trixie get her sight back in that eye is what I was meant to be doing. Praying in time it will get better.

              Third time typing this – maybe it will work this time. I am over the anger for the loss of Sheba at my former vet\’s error. I know she is ok and I will see her again one day.
              I have my big boy Milo that I adopted from county shelter last July and now have a foster kitten with a bad eye that went untreated for more than a month that we are trying to save. She was way underweight and tiny but with good food and lots of love she is growing. Milo and I love her and she loves us so will probaby be a foster fail

              I still miss my Sheba so much. She has been gone just over 6 months. Her death should have not happened. How do you make veternarians listen to what is happening with a loved pet and take precautions to prevent what happened to her?
              I did get another cat because I could not stand the empty house. His name is Milo and I love him very much. He does not take Sheba\’s place but is a great cat and comforts me.
              The calico was Sheba and the tabby is Milo. Does not look like the pics are going to show very good on the site.

                I sure understand how you feel. I am dealing with guilt for taking my Sheba to the vet that day. We love them and when bad things happen we do feel guilty. Praying that we can all oneday live with the happy memories of our fur babies and know that they had good lives in the time with us.

                I know that vets are all about the money. Know that they have expenses but when a person can prove they can pay the bill then they should treat the animal. I am so sorry you had to go through that. I am trying to stoo the anger and concentrate on the good life and love Sheba had. I love her so much and she loved me. I know I will see her again oneday.

                  The thing is I told the vet she was gagging when she tried to eat. He tortured her by forcing that tube down her. Had a bite block in her mouth so when she tried to puck it could not get out so she aspirated it if he did not have the tube in the wrong place the tracea instead of the stomach. Thene he continued to do an xray every half hour or so and she had to be held down on hwr back for which she hated. He was shaking so bad that he could not get the med to stop her heart into a vein. We just had to wait for her to stop breathing and he refused to do an autopsybecause “it would make a difference”. He is wrong it probably would have made a difference for me to know what was wrong with her that she could not eat. I think it is a shame that he cannot admit fault. He should have listened to me and maybe could have medicated her before the tube was placed and barium given.

                    Thank you Toni. I have lost 7 pets in the last 7 years. Changed the vet I take my new cat Milo to and also have him on a food free of corn, wheat and soy hoping it will prevent gi issues. I miss them all so much but take comfort in knowing they were loved and had a good home. Will see them all again oneday at the rainbow bridge.
