Yes,Toni , it was . Cooper passed on July 9, and we got Daisy Mae on August 15th of 2016. A friend of mine ( in the rescue world) knew that we had just lost Cooper, and who had helped us with his “acclimation issues ( afraid of men) , called me , and asked if I would be willing to “take on ” a GOLDEN RETRIEVER ” ( knowing full well that’s my favorite breed) …She’s the one who made the connection happen between me and Daisy’s owner. I don’t want it to SEEM like I “replaced” ( cause I don’t believe that you can) one dog for another. Cooper and Daisy are same in SOME ways ( the golden part) but different in alot of ways ,too.

    This is Cooper. He\'s been at the \"rainbow bridge \" since July 9,2016. He was just 8years old. He had a seizure and just never came out and passed in my arms. He was a PAWS adoption pup at 7mos old. He came to us abused by men, and after some time , he became my husband\'s best buddy. He\'s golden retriever and cocker spaniel mix ( cocker in the face). He bonded VERY CLOSE to Addison, and she \"mothered \" him. He did have the funniest personality. He was heavily codependent on Addison .

    This is my DAISY MAE. She\’s 11years old. Everyday is PRECIOUS. Shes \”a rescue\” from a friend who moved into a highrise apartment due to disability. She still comes and sees her. We own her ( I insisted) since I pay for medical care and feed her,and take her to the groomer. Love her immensely. She was here when we lost Addison. She \” took over\” Cooper\’s job of looking after Addison ( when Addison\’s sight got bad) .Daisy was sooo sweet like a real mama ❤. It was too cute. It will be devastating when she goes..😭

    Hi Toni.. my email is ” rescuedogs4joy@gmail.com “.Sorry for the confusion. Both Addison and Cooper are at the “Rainbow Bridge ” and while WE( my husband, Joe ) and I miss them ,we have memorials of each of them that he made . Right now, We are trying to REALLY ENJOY the time we have with our 11 year old GOLDEN RETRIEVER, DAISY. ( She’s in ” that window of time” I know we will be devastated when she goes… I absolutely love my golden girl. ALLL OF OUR PUPS HAVE BEEN RESCUES.
    ( HENCE MY EMAIL)We also did foster for an all breed rescue. WAAAY before Addison ( back in 96 when we got married, we had a black lab/ Rottweiler mix) named Woody that I had when I was married to my ex husband. He dropped him off to me cause he was leaving Illinois. Anyway, Woody lived to be 14 years old until cancer took him. Woody was the 1st dog we had that was May 2005when he passed.

      This is Addison. She\’s been at the
      \” rainbow bridge \” since April 6, 2019. She was born 2/1/2007- 4/6/19. She was a mix of lab, keeshond,and some other stuff. She made it to 12 years old. Her health was not good, at the end, blind, confused, bad hips, and my other dogs ( while living took over \” mothering\” her).
