Chanel with me in July of 2006. This is one of the very first pictures I have ever taken with her. From the moment I saw Chanel I loved her. She loved Luigi and me so much.

I wrote this to Chanel the day she passed away.
Dear Chanel,
I don’t know how to describe the pain I feel right now knowing I will never see you again. You were more then just a dog to me and Luigi, you were our daughter. We treated you like part of the family, because you completed us. It hasn’t even been a full day without you and my life feels empty. I know everyone has to pass away at some point, but I feel so much pain in my heart for you. Its not fair that you didn’t get to live longer and enjoy getting old with us. You were such a good girl Chanelly! We had our hard times, but no matter what you were always my princess. You were Luigi’s and I first dog, first kid that bonded us as a little family. You changed our lives and added even more joy and wonderful memories to it. I think back to all the good times I had with you. I loved to dress you up, and you loved to look so pretty. You patiently let me take pictures of you, because you knew that I was at my happiest seeing you look cute. I love you so much Chanel, and I don’t want to accept that your gone! I will keep you in my heart forever. Not a day will ever pass by that I don’t think about you or wish you were cuddled on my lap. I am so sorry you got sick. I have never felt so hopeless in my life. I wanted to help you so badly when you were at the hospital. I hope you heard me when I spoke to you and told you how much I loved you. I really meant that with all my heart. You were loved by a lot of people little girl, even people that didn’t get to know you thought you were special. It feels like there is a hole in my heart, because your not here with me. I feel so lonely without you in my room. But I promise I will never forget you Chanel. Thank you so much for the happiest memories of my life. You were the best dog I could have ever asked for.
